Mirtó Kaitanidou

Mirtό Kaitanidou is a soprano singer/vocalist and performer with a focus on contemporary music, musical theater and improvisation based in Switzerland. After she graduated from University of Macedonia/Greece in classical singing she started Master studies in contemporary music at the university Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden and she currently continues her studies in HKB Bern. She combines her vocal skills with experimental music, electronics, and performance. Her work explores the blend of sound, extended vocal techniques, movement and musical theater. She has worked with several composers among Beat Furrer, Matthias Spahlinger, Georg F. Haas, Stefan Prins etc. Her repertoire includes classical, pop, folk and experimental singing.
